Stories shown on the screen can influence how people think, feel, interpret, and perceive the world around them. Films and media have the ability to open the minds and perspectives of its audiences. Canada is a vast and beautiful country with a diversity of stories that need to be showcased. Now more than ever is the time to shine the spotlight on these talented and underrepresented Canadian voices and creators of colour.
RESO will serve to give a voice to the large group of racialized people in Canada with a unique diaspora migrant lens and provide a centre for our unique challenges and possibilities when telling our stories to the world.

EXNW 2023 (EAST BY NORTHWEST)
From July 28 - 30, 2023, RESO is launching EXNW (East by Northwest), a global summit in Vancouver dedicated to building new pathways for racialized creatives to connect with industry leaders and for buyers to discover diasporic stories and narratives for their global audiences.
EXNW is a nexus for racialized creatives that will connect industry professionals and mentors to the next generation of creative talent — where the intersections of creativity and innovation come alive, creating new systems that incorporate the unique needs of these creatives and their engaged audiences.
It's time to pave the way for a future where everyone and anyone can shine on all screens.
